Summit

Accomplishment is all the more meaningful when guided by purpose. Summit brings diverse individuals at the top level of business, education, government, and nonprofit organizations together to challenge and refine their personal and organizational sense of purpose. The pace of their lives rarely gives them the time and space to reflect on their leadership legacy and how to use their influence to serve the community. When our community is anchored by institutions where a sense of purpose is shared and well understood, it can bring people together around new possibilities.

  • I am a proud participant of the 2018 Leadership Greater Hartford Summit program. It was a leadership experience like no other. When I met with Karen Senteio, I was instantly connected to her positive personality and thought ‘I want to learn from her!’ Summit was an experience of trust, shared connections, and self –discovery, made among a group of initial strangers who quickly became trusted confidants. In Summit, I gained a greater understanding of how individual experiences impact leadership and how we view the world around us. There aren’t enough words to describe how Summit helped me grow as a leader. In a world where all too often Humanity is removed from the equation, there is no better time for this wonderful leadership program.

Leadership Greater Hartford and The Clarion Group have partnered to present the Summit program since 2010, inviting 12-15 influential executives from different industries to participate in each program. In a refreshingly open and trusting environment, participants share questions, challenges and insights. They experience boots-on-the-ground exposure to how communities and organizations can be transformed through the work of collaborative, authentic and compassionate leaders.

  • “I am grateful for all the thoughtfulness brought to Summit. We all trusted Leadership Greater Hartford to take us on a productive journey and you did just that.”

More about Summit

Summit sessions don’t crowd the executive’s calendar, but provide the framework for intensive focus on topics that challenge and concern top-level decision makers. Through a combination of retreats, group workshop discussions, and tours of the region, participants have the time and space to build trust and collaboration, discover ways to deepen their impact on organizations and communities, and chart a course for their future.
