Comcast Cares Day

Giving back feels great!

Who? –  LGH’ers and their friends & family

Where? – Sarah J. Rawson Elementary School located in Hartford’s historic Blue Hills neighborhood.

When? – April 22, 2017, 8:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M.

What? – 16th Annual Comcast Cares Day.  This year, approximately 300 volunteers will work to beautify the school both the inside and outside.

Volunteer activities include:

  • creating and enhancing community gardens
  • Library makeover, bulletin board arts & crafts and Literacy Kit building
  • Mural painting in the Arts and Music Room areas
  • Hooks for the 24 guitars in the Music Room
  • Lego Robotics and Vex STEM Robotics Room makeovers
  • Beautify the autistic sensory room with paint, bulletin boards, and various equipment for tactile learners
  • Creating splash and beautification stencils in a superhero theme for the Computer labs
