ABOUT THE BOOK:
Lead More, Control Less unleashes commitment, initiative and innovation! The book offers a non-traditional approach to leadership and describes eight essential skills for establishing a culture of autonomy and self-leadership. Using examples and case studies, Weisbord and Janoff describe how leaders can manage themselves in an uncertain world, share responsibility, defuse group conflicts, engage everyone the big picture, and more. With this approach, leaders truly gain more control by giving it up.
Weisbord and Janoff are award-winning authors who, for two decades, have led strategic planning efforts all over the world. They have worked with business firms such as IKEA, Haworth, Whole Foods Market, and NGOs such as the United Nations Development Programme, the United Nations Children’s Fund, and the American Cancer Society, to name a few. They have also authored the best-selling books Future Search and Don’t Just Do Something, Stand There! Sandra Janoff, the recipient of the Organization Development Network Lifetime Achievement Award, will be joining us in Hartford on Thursday, February 23 to kick off the 2017 Lessons In Leadership series.
